Join us for a discussion of Carl Zimmer’s book, She Has Her Mother’s Laugh, on Monday, June 17 at 6:30 pm at the Cuba Library. Weaving historical and current scientific research, his own experience with his two daughters, and the kind of original reporting expected of one of the world’s best science journalists, Carl Zimmer ultimately unpacks urgent bioethical quandaries arising from new biomedical technologies, but also long-standing presumptions about who we really are and what we can pass on to future generations. There is no cost for the program. Registration is required, so please contact the library to sign up. The first 8 to register will receive a free copy of the book to keep.
This program is sponsored by the National Library of Medicine.
