The Cuba Library will host a class on chair yoga on Tuesdays, May 3 & 17 from 11:00-11:45 am. The class will be lead by Jane Gram. Chair Yoga is a soft, gentle way to practice yoga for anyone who feels they have limited mobility, or other physical issue, but would like to experience the renowned benefits of yoga. Poses and movements are done sitting in a chair, or possibly standing using a chair for support. We will practice a variety of poses to strengthen muscles and bones and to support the spine. You will also learn how mindful breathing is key to moving in a safe, beneficial way. The class will be about 45 minutes in length. No experience with yoga is necessary, but please dress in comfortable clothing and be willing to learn something new about your own body. Registration is required and space is limited. Please contact the library at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (585)968-1668 to sign up.
