June 9, 2022 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Join us for a presentation from the Town of Cuba Police Department on Thursday, June 9 at 6pm. This presentation is designed to help civilians understand what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training is designed and built on the AVOID, DENY, DEFEND strategy. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of law enforcement, and civilian response options. Statistics show that 52% of active shooter incidents occur in the commercial sector (businesses and other commerce locations), nearly 25% occur in the education sector and the remaining incidents occur in government, religious, residential and healthcare sectors. These incidents can happen anywhere at anytime. This presentation is free and open to all residents interested in attending.
