DESCRIPTION:With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extr
 eme\, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for dis
 asters. Join us at the Cuba Library on Thursday\, December 4 at 5 pm at th
 e Cuba Library for a free class with The NY Citizen Preparedness Training 
 Program\, which teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepa
 re for any type of disaster\, respond accordingly and recover as quickly a
 s possible to normal conditions. This training course will provide an intr
 oduction to responding to a natural or man-made disaster. Participants wil
 l be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster\, including devel
 oping a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies. Each 
 family that attends will receive one preparedness kit. Registration is req
 uired. Please visit www.prepare.ny.gov to sign up.
