SUMMARY:Introduction to Quilting
DESCRIPTION:The Cuba Library will host a class for Beginning Quilters at Cu
 ba-Rushford Middle High School on Wednesdays\, May 10\, 17 & 24\, from 5:3
 0-8:00 in room 224. Participants should already be comfortable using a sew
 ing machine. Participants will be introduced to a variety of techniques an
 d tricks to create at least 3 quilt blocks. These blocks can be made into 
 a table runner or pillows. Students will also learn about borders\, quilti
 ng and binding.\n\nThere is a $5 materials fee for this class\, which is l
 imited to those ages 16 & up. There is limited space so registration is re
 quired. Contact the library to register at cuba@stls.org or call (585)968-
 1668. \n\nStudents will need to bring 4 different cotton fabrics (1/2 yard
  of each) that "work" together. Consider values:  One should be light\, an
 other light-medium\, another darker-medium and the last darker. (For examp
 le\, you might bring 4 different shades of purple\, OR you could bring a y
 ellow\, a light blue\, a Kelly green\, and a navy.)\n\n* Also\, please bri
 ng a rotary cutter\, ruler and mat\, IF you have them\, but these items ar
 e NOT required purchases!
