DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what it takes to make your own kombucha?
  Patrons ages 16 & up are invited to join us at the Cuba Library on Wednes
 day\, May 13 from 6 - 7:30 pm as Erica Moses talks about the basics of mak
 ing kombucha. This kombucha demonstration covers everything you need to st
 art brewing at home. Participants will learn what a SCOBY is and how yeast
  and bacteria work together to ferment tea\, the history of kombucha\, equ
 ipment basics\, why tea selection matters\, how to start your first batch\
 , the difference between single batch and continuous brewing methods\, and
  how to flavor and bottle your finished kombucha. This program is free but

 a Moses is a self-taught home cook\, fermentation enthusiast\, and rural h
 omesteader who believes feeding people is a love language. She came to fer
 mentation practically — looking for cost-effective\, gut-healthy food so
 lutions for her family\, and never looked back. She now shares that knowle
 dge through classes designed to make traditional fermentation techniques a
 pproachable for everyone.
