DESCRIPTION:Are you a film buff or someone with an interest in the movie in
 dustry? Join us for a screening of a must-see classic film for any student
 \, connoisseur\, or filmmaking aspirant preceded by a brief introduction a
 nd followed by a discussion. This program will take place on Tuesday\, Mar
 ch 11 at 6 pm. We will watch "North By Northwest\," Alfred Hitchcock's fil
 m about an innocent man mistaken for a spy in one of the director's greate
 st thrillers. A discussion of Auteur Theory will follow the movie screenin
 g\, lead by Charlie Myers\, a lecturer at California State University\, Lo
 ng Beach with experience as a consultant in the film industry. Discover wh
 y directors such as Tarantino\, Scorsese\, and Spielberg believe studying 
 classic film is the best film school in the world. This program is open ad
 ults\, and no registration is required. \n\nCharles Myers has worked as c
 rew on over 60 motion pictures including feature films\, television\, pilo
 ts\, as well as hundreds of commercials.  He has also worked at most of t
 he major studios and built theme park attractions globally and other proje
 cts such as the restoration of Grauman's Chinese Theater. While a professo
