The Cuba Circulating Library invites the community to Meet the Parrots on Saturday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. Mike and Starr Shay will bring their remarkable parrots to the library for a fun and educational afternoon. Visitors will have the chance to meet three feathered guests: River Blue, a Blue-Throated Macaw; Jaz, a Goffin’s Cockatoo; and Bodhi, an Alexandrine Ringneck. Mike and Starr will share where each of these birds originates in the wild, what life is like caring for parrots as pets — and if the birds are feeling cooperative, attendees may even get to see a trick or two! This program is free and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that while these birds are beloved pets, their wings are not clipped — guests are encouraged to be calm and attentive around them.
