Dairy Days 2022

During the yearly Dairy Days festivities, the library had a petting zoo courtesy of SunDance Kid Farms, as well as a booth outside selling library branded merchandise and giving out free sanitizer, wipes, and Covid test kits. Staff also participated in the annual Dairy Days parade with a summer reading themed float, a boat and silly ocean creature hats for “Oceans of Possibilities”.

Cheers, Cheese and Chocolate 2022

Patrons were invited to attend Friends of the Cuba Library, Inc.’s newly revamped Cheers, Cheese and Chocolate fundraiser event (formerly Wine & Cheese). Attendees were encouraged to enjoy a taste of choice wines, sample a variety of cheeses from our own Cuba Cheese Shoppe, savor freshly made hors d’ oeuvres, and indulge in a bite or two of chocolate. Nonalcoholic beverages were also available.

Annual Spring Tea 2022

Patrons were invited to attend the Annual Spring Tea hosted by Friends of the Cuba Library, Inc. Attendees were treated to a historical drama written by Faith Stewart, “Here or There: The Great Library Controversy of 1922” which was a reenactment of the debate over where the town library should be located; those in attendance enjoyed a cup of tea and a selection of hors d’oeuvres.

Open House 2021

Patrons were invited to an open house in the fall of 2021 for light refreshments and an opportunity to tour the newly renovated space. This evening was also an opportunity for us to thank the many people who donated so generously to the flood repairs.
