Join us Tuesday, August 1 from 1 – 2 pm when St. Bonaventure’s Artmobile comes to the library to do a summer library program themed arts & crafts project. This program is free and open to children in grades K – 5.
This year’s program is Puzzling Predicaments:
Handling disagreements and conflict can be difficult, and disagreeing respectfully requires time, patience, and creativity. It is important to model behaviors that teach individuals how to advocate for themselves while engaging—not dismissing—the people who disagree with them.
Participants will view works of abstract art from the Quick Center’s F. Donald Kenney Print Collection discussing what they like or don’t like about the works and why.
Participants will then design their own abstract artwork using various art tools and techniques. After their work is sealed, it will be cut into puzzle shapes and participants will exchange pieces with partners or in groups to create entirely new works they can then take home and rebuild.
