Join us on Tuesday, August 13 at 6:00 pm at the Cuba Library for a presentation by Susan Doran on the Lost Art of Sentimental Hairwork. Crafted meticulously from human hair, Victorian Hair Wreaths showcase elaborate designs, intricately twisted or braided to evoke the beauty of floral arrangements. Artist Susan Doran will explore the intricate craft of sentimental hairwork through a PowerPoint presentation. Explore the rich history of this craft, view exquisite samples, and contemplate contributing a lock of hair for the creation of the Community Unity Wreath which will be crafted over the summer. This program is free and open to the public. Please contact Cuba Library at (585)968-1668 with any questions.
