A Death Café is a free-form conversation about death, whatever that means to the people who come. There are no agendas or themes – and we are not a grief support group or educational meeting. We simply gather to eat cake, drink tea and explore our perspectives on mortality. We provide the tea and cake and you bring your stories, thoughts, and questions about death. 

Our objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. Death Cafés are an international movement. Ours is one of over 18,000 Death Cafes in 90 countries. This event has been held at the Olean Meditation Center and they are bringing the event to the Cuba Library on Tuesday, September 22 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
