Gardening and landscaping offer numerous benefits, but the specifics of how to get started may not be as well-known. Ready to get your hands dirty and help your garden (and the planet) thrive? We’re hosting two exciting, in-person workshops that will teach you practical skills to grow herbs at home and protect local pollinators. Free to attend, and you’ll go home with something you made yourself!

Workshop #2: Protecting Pollinators
Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Discover how you can support pollinators in your own backyard! Our Master Gardeners will share tips on mowing, wildflowers, and native plants. Then, you’ll build a bee hotel using recycled materials to bring home.

These classes will be presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County Master Gardeners, who are well-versed in the gardening and landscape issues that we deal with here in our county.
