Kids ages 6+ (under 6 need an adult to assist) are invited to join Jessie Lampack Slattery, local homeschool facilitator, art and yoga youth educator, on Wednesday, November 22 from 10:30am – 12:30 in the community room at Cuba Library for a morning of reflecting on gratitude and working on a special art piece or two for their family’s Thanksgiving table. We will be sharing a book, moving our bodies, and then exploring some crafting methods using clay and beeswax to create a candle and holder to light with love in their hearts. Kids will also have the opportunity to learn to fold an 8 pointed window star to hang in their window as this season of holidays begins. Space is limited, registration is required. Please contact the library at (585)968-1668 or email cuba@stls.org to sign up, or with any questions. Please bring a packed lunch.

Jessie Lampack Slattery is a local registered yoga teacher, homeschool mama of four, and devoted patron of the arts as well as to the Cuba Library! She holds a fine arts degree from Alfred University specializing in alternative process photography and water based media painting, as well as a previous art education certification from Buffalo State College.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
