If you have an interest in mushrooms & mushroom foraging, you may be interested in learning to grow your own mushrooms. Join us at the Cuba Library on Monday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m. for a class with Samuel Warren and learn to grow mushrooms. The class teaches you with a hands-on approach how to grow your own mushrooms at home through log inoculation. Those interested should sign up as a family or group, but interested individuals may also register. Each group will take home a log ready to grow your own oyster mushrooms. There is a $5 fee per group for the class to help cover the cost of the “seeded” logs. Families with children may sign up, but each group should have an accompanying adult.
Samuel Warren is a licensed mushroom forager in 13 states, a NYS licensed guide and head mycologist at Food Forest Fungi.
There is limited space so registration is required. Contact the library to register at cuba@stls.org or call (585)968-1668.
