Join us for a hands-on presentation with Benjamin Berry on Tuesday, June 27 at 11 am. Benjamin will educate participants about the many benefits of the BrainDance, guide them through multiple iterations of the exercises (seated, standing, with props, etc.), and share resources for them so that they may continue to enjoy the benefits for themselves and the populations they serve. This class is meant for adults, especially seniors, and registration is required. Please contact the library at (585) 968-1668 or email cuba@stls.org to sign up, or with any questions.

BrainDance is a series of exercises that are based on the movement patterns that humans move through in the first year of life. By revisiting these patterns daily or weekly, seniors can fill any gaps they may have in their sensorimotor development, rewire their central nervous system, find enhanced core support/alignment, oxygenate their brain and respiratory system, and connect the mind and body. All of this improves quality of life in a way that is engaging, easy to follow, accessible, low impact, and fun.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
