Join us at the Cuba Library for a special presentation and storytime with Tanglewood Nature Center on Wednesday, July 12 at 1 p.m.. They will bring four live animals and read the book Truman by Jean Reidy. After his best friend Sarah leaves for her first day of school, a tortoise named Truman waits and waits for her to come home. When he can’t wait any longer he goes on an adventure across the living room and learns to be brave in this thoughtful and heartwarming twist on a first experience story. The presenters will talk about friendship, caring for animals, animal food & shelter, and food chains. This program is free and open to patrons of all ages.
This program is funded through a grant from Allegany County United Way.
