Join us on Saturday, July 8 for a watercolor class with Theresa Heinz. In this class, participants will explore the wet on wet technique to create a background layer of color and then using a small brush or pen, “draw in” detail and sharper images. Weather permitting, the class will attempt to work outside. Bring a folding chair, containers for water (plastic yogurt containers, etc.) weather appropriate footwear and jacket. There is a $5 fee for the class, which is open to those ages 13 & up. Registration is required and space is limited, so please contact the library at cuba@stls.org or call (585) 968-1668 to sign up.

The class will be taught by Theresa Heinz, a Cuba native who studied under local artist Chet Swier while in junior high school. Theresa is recently retired after 31 years of teaching high school art. She has pieces in many private collections and has had several one-woman shows of paintings and collages.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
