This year, summer reading starts on June 28 and runs through August 8. Summer learning is open to patrons of all ages. Sign up at https://tinyurl.com/CubaLibSRP and track your reading to be entered in weekly drawings and the grand prize drawing at the end of summer. This year, we will be returning to the days of small physical prizes each week, and the big grand prizes at the end of summer.
Please note that if you have signed up on ReadSquared for previous summer learning programs, you should use your existing account and register for the new program. They do have a forgot my password tool if you no longer remember it.
Adults can participate by tracking either books or minutes read, either online or you can stop in and do it at the library, and this year we also have a fun Bingo board planned for the grown ups if you’d like to give that a try. For kids, as always you will record the amount of time that they read each day (or that their adults read to them) online with ReadSquared. All children who participate can come each week to get a free book. We will have a station at the library for those who don’t have internet access at home to record their reading. Readers can also earn points for book reviews. As always, we have a variety of programs and activities planned for patrons of all ages, so check in with us on our website and Facebook to see what’s happening. Registration for programs will open three weeks before they start.
