Learn to make your own handcrafted spoon rings! Adults are invited to sign up for one of two sessions on Saturday, May 16 at either 10:30 am or 1:00 pm at the Cuba Library to craft their own rings. Participants will be able to choose a Spoon Ring blank from the instructor’s collection, polish it, and choose the size of their ring. Then each person will grind the ends with a Dremel tool with a diamond wheel. Finally, with assistance from instructor Kim, each person will use the PepeTool Ring bender to make their ring. After the ring is fashioned we check for sizing and do one final polish. There will be two sessions for this class, taking place at either 10:30 am or 1 pm. This workshop is free and open to adults, but space is limited, and registration is required. Please note, this class will be using silver plated vintage spoons, not modern stainless steel spoons.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
