Not Your Parent’s Home Ec Group – Under $5 DIY Projects to Share

If you have an interest in learning green/self-sufficient practices, join us Wednesday, March 7th at 5:30 p.m. for Under $5 DIY Projects to Share. The Not Your Parent’s Home Ec group for teens and adults will meet once a month on the First Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm. Each month will feature a new topic in a variety of interest areas, some dealing with food, some with products for the home, and even some for the holidays. This is intended as a cooperative group with members learning and teaching. Registration is required, so please stop in or call us at (585)968-1668 to sign up.

Anime Club

ANIME CLUBAre you an Anime Fan? If you are between the ages of 13-18, Cuba Library has a club just for you: Anime Club. The group will meet the 1st Monday of every month (except during school breaks). The next meeting will be March 5th at 6:30 p.m. Registration is preferred, so please call (585)968-1668 or stop in to sign up.

 

Midday Meetup

Anyone looking for something to do on weekday afternoons should feel free to stop by for our midday activities! February 5—April 26 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Cuba Library. Mondays – Adult Coloring ; Tuesdays – Euchre & Cards ; Thursdays—Puzzles

 No sign ups required, just stop by!

 

Tween Test Kitchen

Kids ages 9-12, join us for a fun hour of cooking Thursdays, February 1, 8, 15, & March 1 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. @ the Cuba Library as we try out crazy cooking challenges like “will it waffle” or “tiny food”.

Spectrum LGBT+ Teen Group

Spectrum, for ages 13-19, will meet the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cuba Library. The next meeting will be Monday, February 12th at 6:30pm. Spectrum is a supportive group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT+) teens, as well as those who are questioning their identity, have LGBT+ friends or family members, or just care about LGBT+ issues.

TAWNY

creative-writingTeens ages 13 & up, if you are a writer and are looking for a group to give advice and critique your work, Teen Authors of Western New York (TAWNY)  invites you to join them the 3rd Monday of every month from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. at the Cuba Library. TAWNY does not consist of professional authors and welcomes writers at any point in their creative journey.

Laptops and typewriters are welcome!

 

Literary Legos

There will now be two meetings for different age groups! Grades 2nd & up will meet the 2nd Monday of each month from 3 – 4 p.m. Grades PreK to 1st will meet the 4th Monday of each month beginning in February. Each week, you will listen to a story, then build a project based on that story. Each time, one person will be chosen as the winner of the “Best project like the story” and win a small prize. Registration is required so please stop in or call (585)968-1668 to sign up.

Fireside Knitters

knitHave you always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? Are you experiencing trouble with a certain knitting or crochet project? Bring your questions and problems to the Cuba Library where a group of experienced needle workers meet weekly on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. by the fireplace.
