Everyone is welcome to join us at Chamberlain Park on Thursday, August 17th at 1:00 p.m. as we celebrate the end of the summer reading program. We will have fire trucks, police cars, village work trucks, farm equipment, a DEC truck and many more! Kids can meet community heroes, as well as Smoky Bear and Sparky the Firedog.
The grand prize winners for the summer reading program will also be announced at the party.
Teens ages 13 – 19 are invited to join us for Smart Money, a class in practical money skills for teens on topics like saving money, how to create a budget, and using credit wisely…Financial decisions made today may impact a person tomorrow and beyond. The class meets on Mondays, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. and is presented by Ardent Solutions.
Registration is required, so please stop in or call to sign up.
Those with artistic interests are invited to sign up for one of our classes Saturday, November 4 with artist Rise Peacock to make a mini glass mosaic. Class 1 is from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., and Class 2 is from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. so hopefully one of these times fits your schedule! This class is open to anyone ages 12 & up. There is a $5 fee for the class.
