Story Hours
The Cuba Library offers weekly story hours during the weeks and months of October thru May. Class sizes are limited and registration is required (585) 968-1668. These programs are funded in part by the New York State Division for Youth.
Preschool story time is for children who are 3 years old on October 1. It is held on Tuesdays from 10 to 11:00 a.m. in the children’s room, a parent or caregiver must attend with the child. Besides reading 3 – 4 books each week, there will be songs, movement, games, crafts, and playtime. This time helps acclimate your child to a classroom-like setting in a fun, flexible way. The group will have some STEAM activities incorporated throughout the year. Space is very limited and registration is required.
After-School Explorers for children in K-3 grades will meet weekly on Thursdays from 3-4 pm. This group will read together, do crafts, science experiments, and more. Space is very limited and registration is required.
Toddler story time is for children who are 2 years old on October 1. It is held on Thursdays from 10 to 10:45 a.m. in the children’s room, a parent or caregiver must attend with the child. Besides reading 2 – 3 books each week, there will be songs, movement, games, crafts, and playtime, introducing your child to the joys of books, reading, and learning. The group will have some STEAM activities incorporated throughout the year. Space is very limited and registration is required.
