Join Miss Cherilyn on Saturday, May 17 at 1:30 pm at the Cuba Library for a Family Financial Literacy Game. Participants in family teams will adopt a pet—and take on the financial responsibilities of pet ownership—as they visit various stations around the room. At each stop, players engage in financial transactions, spending and receiving money until the timer runs out. All transactions are tracked on the player’s Pet Card. The goal of the game is to meet a pet’s needs while retaining as much money as possible. This game is geared toward children ages 5-12 but since each family will be a team, all ages are welcome. The materials for this program were provided by a grant from ALA and FINRA.
