    Chair Yoga

    Join us Thursday, October 25 @6:30 p.m. for an Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation with Chair Yoga for ages 14 & up. The class will consist of the following components: Pranayama (breathing exercises), Gentle seated yoga, and Guided meditation. Gentle seated yoga involves practicing simpler chair yoga poses to improve flexibility, strength & concentration. Registration is required. Please stop in or call the library at (585)968-1668 to sign up.   This program is part of a series of mindfulness classes that the library will be offering throughout the months of September and October. This series is funded through a grant from the Southern Tier Library Foundation.

    Team Trivia

    Like, you should Totally dress in your most Radical clothes and join us for a night of 80s themed trivia on Tuesday, October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Cuba Library. We’ll, like, definitely have some totally Tubular prizes for the winners! Teams of 2-6 will compete. People without teams are welcome to come join the fun. For ages 13 & up. Registration Required.

    Sound Bath

    If you have an interest in Mindfulness and Meditation, join us on Tuesday, October 16th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Cuba Library for a Sound Bath workshop with Joseph Schmidlin. Sound baths begin by teaching you how to really listen – with outer hearing, inner hearing, and with the whole body. Using a soundstream composed of vocalization and/or instruments, participants allow the soundwaves to calm and balance the body. Participants usually lie on the floor so please bring a yoga mat & blanket. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit.
