    Sign Language Classes

    Join us May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and June 6 at 6:30 pm at the Cuba Library for a six week sign language class with Brittany Huntley, whether you are interested in learning out of necessity or just for fun. This class is open to all ages, and there is no cost to attend. Registration is required, so please contact the library to sign up. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Cuba Library, Inc.

    One Stroke Painting

    Join us Wednesday, April 24 from 6 – 7:30 pm for a painting class with artist Patience Wnek. Students will be instructed in the use and application of One Stroke painting techniques. Each student will create their own beautiful work of art and be able to apply what they have learned to a variety of different surfaces. All skill levels welcome. This program is for adults only. There is a $5 fee for the class, and registration is required. Space is limited, so please contact the library to sign up.

    Migratory Birds

    Spring is on its way, and you know what that means! Thousands of migratory birds will soon arrive to our local area to recoup from their extensive journeys and pursue breeding territories and potential mates. On Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, join Roger Tory Peterson Institute’s Elyse Henshaw to learn more about these incredible species. Elyse will discuss birds likely seen within the area, how to distinguish each species using field markings and what we are learning through various research efforts taking place within the region.     Gardening Classes

    The benefits of gardening and landscaping are well known, but the “how-to” may not be as common knowledge. The Thursday Gardening Class Series will take place from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Cuba Library. Come to just one class, or come to all of them! 4/4/19 – Starting Seeds Indoors, with Master Gardener Steve Jakobi 4/11/19 – Tree and Shrub Pruning, with Master Gardener Dave Chamberlain 4/18/19 – Garden Insects, with Master Gardener Carol Sitarski The classes will be held at the Cuba Circulating Library.
