The benefits of gardening and landscaping are well known, but the “how-to” may not be common knowledge. The Tuesday Gardening Class Series will be open to community members looking to gain valuable gardening information as the 2024 growing season rapidly approaches. The classes will cover a variety of topics from seedling care to controlling pests. The presenters for this series of classes are Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County Master Gardeners David Chamberlain and Cristian Acosta, who are well versed in gardening and landscape issues that we deal with here in our county.

Class Schedule:
April 9th: Seedling Care and No-tilling gardening
April 16th: Permaculture and native plants
April 30: Medicinal herbs
May 7: Composting 101
May 14: Supporting pollinators in the garden.
May 21: Controlling pest in the garden.

The classes will be held at the Cuba Circulating Library. Call the Cuba Library (585)968-1668 with any questions. These classes are free to attend and made possible by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County.
